THIS AIN’T YOUR FATHER’S GARAGE DOOR!

This Ain’t Your Father’s Garage Door!

In the 1950’s most Americans entered their home through the back or front doors.  If a home had a garage it was a detached, single-car garage located at the end of the driveway behind, or beside the home.   If it was raining you got wet going from the car to the house unless you were fortunate to have a covered breezeway between the home and the garage.

Fast forward to today’s garages.  Two to three bays integrated into the home design and for most of us, the primary entrance.  At the touch of a button we enter covered and protected from wind, rain, sleet, or snow. Most of our friends and family come through the garage to enter the home.  The front door is reserved for first timer’s, UPS, FedEx, or the annual onslaught of Trick or Treater’s.

Garage doors can add or detract from home value because they are now a major part of the home exterior.  Real estate agents talk about “curb appeal,” and today’s high quality, color and design complimentary garage doors add as much if not more value than the front door.  This “ain’t your parents,” garage door!

The garage doors of today are the result of innovation and intentional manufacturing aimed at setting your house apart.  Whether it’s function, safety, energy efficient insulation, quiet operating doors/openers, or creative design, today’s doors are leaps ahead of their predecessors.

Today, garage doors can be integrated into smart home systems that do everything from interior creature comforts to exterior security.  Today’s smart units can record the garage temperature, and be remotely opened, or closed on your smartphone. Virtual control is at your fingertips.

When you are ready to purchase a new garage door whether it is a replacement, or new construction you have a variety of options.  You want to deal with a respected professional garage door installation and sales company. Check out their website, testimonials and online reviews.  Contact them online, or by phone to set up a consult with a professional installer.

At Access Garage Door we specialize in all kinds of garage door repairs and installations, including an extensive line of new garage doors.  Our insured, trained specialists will come to your home for no more than an hour. You will be given product literature describing the construction, features and warranties of our doors.  Sample color options will also be discussed.

You will receive a  detailed document that defines the nature and scope of the installation as well as pricing for the doors you are considering.  While there, the installer will take measurements of your garage, check on your door to see if it is in stock, or if it will need to be ordered.

Once agreed upon, the installer will set up an appointment that fits your schedule.   We offer same day, or next day appointments for in stock doors. Installation for custom ordered doors are dependent upon the delivery schedule of the manufacturer.  Contact us today and let us get the door you want!
